GTA: Vice City 100% Completion Checklist — Everything You Need

Hitting 100 % completion in GTA: Vice City is one of the more achievable full-clears in the series — there is no dating minigame, no 200 pigeons, and the map is small. It is still a long haul. Here is the complete checklist, in a sensible order.

Everything below works in the classic game, the Definitive Edition and the free browser version.

The four that take the longest

100 hidden packages

The biggest single time sink, and the most rewarding. Every 10 unlocks a weapon or vehicle at your safehouses; all 100 gets you a Hunter helicopter and $100,000. Buy the Hyman Condo for its helipad before you start — a lot of packages are on rooftops. Full breakdown in our hidden packages guide.

35 rampages

Marked by a floating skull. Each hands you a specific weapon and a tight timer, and asks for a target number of kills or vehicle destructions. The hard ones are the vehicle-destruction rampages in tight streets — bring nothing, because the rampage overrides your loadout anyway. Tip: do these after you have the Hunter, since several rampages sit in awkward corners of the map and flying in is faster than driving.

36 unique stunt jumps

Ramps scattered across both islands. You need speed and the right angle; the game logs the jump the moment you land cleanly and keep the vehicle intact. A PCJ-600 clears most of them, a Sanchez handles the dirt ones. This is the requirement most people leave until last and then spend three hours on.

Vehicle side missions to level 12

Taxi, Vigilante, Paramedic and Firefighter, each to level 12. Vigilante is the fun one and is dramatically easier in a Rhino tank (90 hidden packages) or a Hunter (100). Paramedic in Vice Point is the standard route for the health bonus. Firefighter grants fireproofing, which is genuinely useful for the rest of the run.

What you get at 100%

An efficient order

  1. Story missions up to Rub Out, so you own the Vercetti Estate.
  2. Buy the Hyman Condo ($14,000) for the helipad.
  3. Buy the cheap assets early — the Boatyard ($10,000) and Ice Cream Factory ($20,000) start printing money while you do everything else.
  4. Hidden packages next. The rewards at 60, 70, 90 and 100 make everything after this easier.
  5. Rampages, now that you have a Hunter to reach them.
  6. Stunt jumps on a PCJ-600.
  7. Vehicle side missions and Sunshine Autos lists.
  8. Finish the story, which needs six completed assets anyway — see the mission list.

Protect your save

A 100 % run is many hours. If you are playing in the browser, read how browser saves and save keys work first — local saves live in your browser's storage, and clearing site data will take your run with it. Grab a save key early and you can also continue the run on another device.

Start the run: free browser version, no download required.
